Staying healthy in the summer heat isn’t hard if you know these five important things:
- Avoid exposure in the middle of the day when the sun is strongest – from 10am to 4pm.
- Wear loose fitting clothing that’s lightweight.
- Drink plenty of fluids! Carry a water bottle with you.
- Use sunscreen of SPF 15 or more.
- Spend your time in air conditioned places. Think malls, libraries, community centers …
